Aldin Dynamics, ehf. and affiliated companies (“Aldin”, “we”, “our”, and “us”) is fully committed to protecting the privacy and safety of our customers. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains our privacy practices regarding information that we collect in our software applications (“Application(s)”) and online services (“Service(s)”). For specific information about our in-house quality assurance production tools, please see the Experience Analysis section below.

Information we collect

Aldin currently does not collect or store any information, and voice interaction runs locally on your devices. In the past we have collected usage data to improve our software (see Experience Analysis below), for which we employ reasonable measures to ensure that no personally identifiable data is stored. Previously collected data is used solely to improve our software, is stored only for as long as we need it for those purposes and is never sold or shared with third-parties.

In the future we may need to collect additional data, in which case we will notify users from within our Applications and update this privacy policy.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect information you enter, including email address, which we may use to contact you with news about our experiences, company news, promotions and similar. If you no longer want to receive emails you may opt-out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each email, or by emailing us at support@aldin.io.

Other sites & services

Our Service and Applications may contain links to other sites or Applications. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. In some cases the platforms and stores we distribute our experiences through, such as Steam or Oculus, or the game engine that powers our software, Unity3D, may collect information about product usage. You can find more information in the user agreements you agree to when you use these platforms, and Unity's privacy policy here.

Experience analysis

We take the design of our immersive worlds very seriously and to make them more advanced we created our own unique set of mixed reality software tools. Our tool suite for MR experience analysis, the Ghostline suite, processes usage data that helps us understand how users interact with our software so that we can build more advanced and believable worlds. The tools can identify design issues, performance problems and generally provide information that can help improve the user experience.

Our tools are used in-house during prototyping and production phases, but can also be used in live products after release to ensure that our software is functioning as intended. If and when we use these tools in live deployment it is Aldin's Policy to only collect data that is necessary to help improve our VR software; such as improving interactions with virtual tools, improving timing of in-world events and generally ensuring that the software impacts users in the way we intended. Our software strictly limits the types and amounts of data being collected, and we do not store personally identifiable information or otherwise do so in an anonymized fashion. Information we process focuses on data relating to hardware and software setups, headset and controller output data and data from within the virtual world that is solely used to help improve the user experience and understand usage of our product.

Information security

While we strive to employ protections for your information that are appropriate to its sensitivity, no transmission over the internet or online storage is 100% secure. Never submit or share sensitive information about yourself or anyone else using features that are provided for other purposes, for example revealing such information when using voice interaction features, or when using networked voicechat in multi-user settings. Examples of such information includes, but is not limited to, credit-card numbers, personal addresses, health information, passwords or any type of content or information considered sensitive, private or confidential.

Children

If you are under the age of 13, or otherwise under legal age in your country, you are not to permitted to use our products or provide information to us.

Changes to this policy

Aldin Dynamics, ehf. may change our Policy from time to time and we advise you to review this Policy periodically. If we make any changes to this Policy, we will change the "Last Updated" date above. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page. You agree that your continued use of our Sites, Applications or Services after such changes have been published to our Policy will constitute your acceptance of such revised Policy.
